Memorial Day was originally designated as the 30th of May to afford citizens an opportunity to pause and remember our country’s servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
You are cordially invited to join with fellow Midtowners for a brief remembrance ceremony in the Pocket Park on West Street. Our brief ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm and will include the rendering of Taps and a community prayer.
The freedoms we enjoy today in no small way were paid for by their sacrifice. In the words of Winston Churchill, “Never have so many owed so much to so few.” Please join us.
